In an increasingly urbanised world, creating intelligent cities is essential.  Inefficient transport and water systems, pollution, increasing security risks and access to effective telecommunications are just some of the challenges central to a city achieving its financial, economic, social and environmental goals. Billions of dollars is being spent on a vast range of city infrastructure projects globally every year.  It is crucial that these investments are part of an integrated and holistic vision and make optimal use of cutting edge information and communication technologies (ICT) so that they successfully contribute to achieving a thriving urban future.

The Intelligent Cities Expo conference is a comprehensive 3 day research-based programme built around the needs and priorities of city officials, utilities, transport operators, developers, investors, contractors and solution providers.  The conference helps delegates to share best practice case studies and to overcome key issues in relation to the future development of intelligent cities globally:

  • Discover how leading cities are transforming themselves into intelligent communities
  • Evaluate the myriad of technologies available for urban energy generation
  • Analyse the results of smart, multi-modality transportation systems
  • Meet new partners, including city officials, utilities and project developers
  • Help define the roadmap to take today's city to an intelligent city
