ELARD launches a staff exchange program!

The overall objective of the program is to promote transnational cooperation between LAGs, to enhance the dissemination of the LEADER methodology and its different instruments and applications as well as to further develop the methodology itself by collecting good European practices.
ELARD – European LEADER Association for Rural Development
ELARD launches a staff exchange pilot program in order to offer the European LAGs a low-threshold opportunity for reciprocal, international staff exchange and to promote their formation and training as well as exchange of experiences, know-how and new ideas. ELARD will coordinate the staff exchange and work as a contact point helping LAGs with similar interests to get in contact.
The staff exchange will take the form of educational visits of three weeks arranged between two participating LAGs. The exchange will be reciprocal meaning that the same LAG both sends and receives a visitor. The financial LAG investment required will be limited to the travel costs of the staff member sent to exchange and the normal daily allowances as well as the cost that will incur for hosting the visitor.
The pilot exchanges will be organized during the autumn 2011.Should your organization be interested to send a staff member to exchange and to receive a person from another European LAG, please fill the enclosed ‘Partner identification form’ and send it to the email address elard@elard.eu by the 31 August 2011.
The partner identification process will be carried out during September 2011 and partner proposals will be sent to the LAGs in the end of the month. Hence, the exchange can take place at the earliest in October 2011.
